Promoting healthy ageing through nutrition
Diet is widely considered the single most important behavioural risk factor that, when improved, can enhance the health, wellbeing and longevity of individuals.
I am interested in the role nutrition plays in promoting health and healthy ageing, and to help individuals develop a healthy relationship with food and improve their daily eating habits. With post-graduate qualifications in nutrition and psychology my aim is to help you manage your own challenges with sound advice formed from the most recent nutrition research.
I take a holistic view of an individual’s lifestyle and eating habits to provide customised nutritional advice focused on promoting long-term wellbeing and healthy ageing. My goal is to help clients identify and change eating habits which may be deleterious to their health.
Understanding the role nutrition plays in promoting health, improving daily eating habits and establishing new eating behaviours can take time. Therefore, I will initially work through this process with you over the course of three comprehensive consultations spaced over a 3-4 week period. Follow-up consultations are available thereafter as required.
Whilst I do not always focus on weight loss specifically, when followed, the recommended changes in lifestyle and dietary habits inevitably produce positive results in terms of long-term weight management and overall health.
Please be assured that your dietary preferences, likes and dislikes will be respected and any dietary changes will be designed specifically for you, with your preferences and lifestyle taken into consideration.
